From New York and Jaipur to her new home in Lisbon, Sarah shares the story behind the brand and her latest collaboration with +351.
Her pieces are available in our Cais do Sodré Store for the summer. Come check out!
What's your story so far?
I am originally from New York but have done long stints in London and Jaipur, where our team of artisans hand-blocks each piece. I have 2 little kids and we moved to Lisboa almost three years ago. My love affair with India began almost 20 years ago when I studied there during University - and the love and intensity continues to evolve through the growth of SZ Blockprints. We have a large team of artisans, more like family now, that we are lucky to work with in creating our beautiful line. I believe the beauty of hand made is unrivalled as it captures the emotional charge of the person who created it- there is no greater luxury.

Next steps for you?
It is exciting every single day to see SZ Blockprints evolving and this collab with +351 is making our Summers. Workign with such an iconic Portuguese brand is so cool for us and the bespoke print and pieces we will be showcasing together are really speciall. The collab pieces feel like a natural progression and a great timestamp of where I am in my life and with my brand.

I feel so lucky every single day to live here - I love the landscapes and light of the inner Alentejo.
